OCR ITQ Level 1 Award in IT User Skills (ITQ)

Course overview

This course is designed to allow learners to achieve skills required at the workplace to carry out range of IT work in a professional way. They will be able to design and create documents such as invoices, letterheads, memos, minutes etc. These qualifications provide increased flexibility and choice for learners and centres, allowing them the opportunity to use any method, or combination of methods, which clearly demonstrates that the learning outcomes and assessment criteria have been met by candidates.

This course is for anyone who wants to gain proficiency and confidence in units such as using the internet, email, managing files, creating documents and working with spreadsheets and graphs.

The average duration length of the course is 12 weeks.

Learners will study the following units

Unit 1: File Management and eDocument Production

Unit 2: Creating Spreadsheets and Graphs

Unit 5: Create an e-Presentation

To achieve this qualification, you must achieve a minimum of 9 credits from a minimum of 3 units.

Through online using Google Meet,  Google classroom and Zoom, Moodle Virtual Learning Environment and  classroom.

This qualification is pass/fail. It is externally set and internally assessed but externally moderated by OCR.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification but you should be proficient to Entry Level 3

At the end of the course, you will achieve a Level 1 Award in IT User Skills (ITQ). You can progress to further study Level 2 and into employment.
