OCR ITQ Level 2 Award in IT User Skills (ITQ)

Course overview

This builds on what has been gained at Level 1 Award/Certificate in IT Users Skills (ITQ) or its equivalent. You will develop knowledge and understanding of IT skills and competencies which could include basic desktop technology, application software, security management, IT support processes and tools, the use of communications and mobile technologies. You will also demonstrate competencies in the workplace and the skills required for further training and education.

Why choose this course

This course is designed for those who are employed, self-employed or volunteering in a role where they are exposed to the use of ICT and would like to develop their skills and competence using IT and software applications. It is also useful for those who would like to go for higher ITQ qualification.

The average duration length of the course is 12 weeks.

Learners will study the following units:

Unit 1: Integrated e-Document Production

Unit 2: Manipulating Spreadsheets and Graphs

Unit 5: Design an e-Presentation

To achieve this qualification, you must achieve a minimum of 10 credits from a minimum of 3 units.

Through online using Google Meet,  Google classroom and Zoom, Moodle Virtual Learning Environment and  classroom.

This qualification is pass/fail. It is externally set and internally assessed but externally moderated by OCR.

ITQ Level 1  or its equivalent or you should be proficient to at least ITQ Level 1 Award for IT User Skills.

At the end of the course, you will achieve a Level 2 Certificate in IT User Skills (ITQ). You can progress to further study in Further Education (FE) or Higher Education (HE) and into employment.
